What is diabetes?

Diabetes is a disease that affects many people in the world today. It is a disease that affects adults as well as young people. Diabetes is a disease that causes many other serious illnesses. Diabetes can be life-threatening if you are untreated.

An increase in the body's glucose level due to a disorder of the body's metabolic process is simply called diabetes.

This is due to a decrease in the hormone insulin in the body.

Diabetes is caused by the pancreas not producing enough insulin, which causes the body's glucose levels to rise. The hormone insulin is produced by beta cells in the pancreas.

Symptoms include elevated glucose levels, loss of vision, weight loss, lethargy, excessive urination, and consequent thirst. These symptoms do not occur when the body's glucose level rises slightly.

Diabetes can lead to serious complications (ketoacidosis, nonketotic hyperosmolar coma) if left untreated. It also causes heart disease and kidney disease. The following is a detailed description of the symptoms of diabetes, other diseases, and how to prevent it.

What diabetes types.

What diabetes type 1

The body's immune system mistakenly recognizes beta cells are not part of the body. for this reason, the immune system damages the beta cells.

this causes the body to fail to produce enough insulin. This is called insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM), juvenile diabetes. No cause has been found for this. Insulin production stops almost completely. These diabetics have high sugar levels. This is a condition that occurs in childhood. As a treatment for this, insulin has to be given externally. Or the glucose level rises and the body becomes acidic. For this reason, life can be endangered. Symptoms include shortness of breath and thinning of the body.

Type one diabetes is not a common disease. It accounts for 5% of diabetics.

What diabetes type 2

These diabetics are obese patients. This obesity causes the body to reduce insulin production and reduce the activation of the insulin it produces. As diabetes progresses, the insulin hormone decreases.

Most people with diabetes have about 50% beta cells when they are diagnosed. Their body produces insulin but it is not enough for the body. Therefore, it is important to take insulin externally. this type of Diabetes mellitus is prevalent in 90% of cases. This type of diabetes is called non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus NIDDM, adult-onset diabetes. This is due to being overweight and lack of exercise.

What diabetes type 3

Gestational diabetes. This is where the blood glucose level rises in pregnant women who have not had diabetes before. This is due to the hormonal activation that occurs during pregnancy. Some of the hormones that occur cause the body to raise sugar levels. This needs to be remedied. After the end of pregnancy, the body's glucose level drops as the hormonal activity returns to normal. However, these patients may later develop type 2 diabetes.

what is insulin hormone?

Insulin regulates sugar levels in the body. When food is consumed, the glucose in the food is absorbed by the body. Therefore the sugar level in the body increases. Insulin is a hormone that delivers glucose to cells. Without insulin, cells are unable to absorb glucose. Therefore the sugar level in the body increases. Diabetes causes damage to insulin-producing beta cells and decreased activity.
